Solving malnutrition is also an agricultural concern

For a country that continues to grapple with food insecurity and community malnutrition, ensuring broad, sustainable access to nutrient-rich produce sits as the heart of what MAYANI does. In collaboration with key partners JCI Manila and Scholars Of Sustenance Philippines – SOS Philippines, we harnessed our shared vision of uplifting both ends of the Philippine agrifood value chain: our smallholder farmers’ rural livelihoods and the urban nourishment needs of those most at risk.

Sharing below a dynamic chronicle made by the JCI Manila team on our “”Food for Life”” partnership launch and initial delivery to Hospicio De San Jose, the country’s first social welfare agency since 1810. It attends to the needs of the poor, the abandoned, the elderly, and persons with special abilities.

The capacity to drive broad-based change is never built alone. Our team is thus grateful to join forces with these like-minded movers in cultivating hope, resilience, and a healthier future for all Filipinos.
